I tend to start my days with lighter sounds. Sure, sometimes they are introspective and on occasion melancholic, but today I find myself in a truly dark mood due to various goings-on. Normally I would offset this with something… not that, but instead I’m leaning into it. Work in progress photography of the Neko Galaxy "BladeZero" miniature bust I'm currently painting. In my painted take on the bust she's wearing a blue undershirt, a purple bolero, white hair, pale skin with black makeup as well as gree reticule shaped pupils on black eyeballs. There's also a small detail of Cyberpunk2077-inspired cyberware on the back of the nose and the metal details are painted in a very warm, orange-reading, non metal metallic, except for the knife, which is painted to look like sharp shiny steel. The holsters strapped on by plack belts, as well as the elbow pads are painted to resemble very worn out red leather, some of areas of them also being hit by the bright neon green object source light. The Pistols are painted in a bright steel with black leather details. The figure, depicted is a kind of futuristic assassin, posed in an attack-motion with one of its two daggers and posed above a hexagonal and 45° forward-slanted black plinth. Worked on the orange NMM this week and also finally drilled the hole, so I can now stick it on the plinth!
Quite happy with the hexagonal and slanted shape for it.

Coming back from a vacation is always intense and this week has been no exception. Catching up on old stuff, getting up to speed on new stuff, slogging through emails, chats, and instant messages. As the saying goes, “I need a vacation after my vacation”. But I feel like I’ve gotten almost everything “in the right box” now and with another hard push today I’ll be squared away. For too many hours the world was a blur of travel, in-between places, and the company of strangers. The constant watching of the clock, the worry of delays cascading until home seemed unreachable. But the journey is now over, the return complete, and comfortable routine slips back into place like well-worn slippers. Miniature photography showcasing the finished paintjob of a Telemon Heavy Dreadnought miniature. The dreadnoughts armor is painted black with strong highlights, giving it a shiny quality, while those light reflections are painted to have a blue hue to them on the figures left side and a purple hue to its right. The pauldrons are made to look blue, however it blends into lower value purple the further it's turned away from the angles the light sources are coming in. Decorative details, like aquila symbols on chest and limbs as well as different forms of filigree are made to look silver. I'm calling her finished!
It took 15 streams of roughly 6h of painting each, so ~90 hours total.
The color scheme is a custom one I chose 5-6 years ago for all my Custodes, but I think it still holds up nicely.

A light fog greeted my wife and me as we embarked on our pre-dawn walk. The temperature was hovering just above freezing, the buildings of lower Manhattan shrouded in chilly mist across the river. The last remains of snow clung to the edges of the sidewalk, no longer crunching beneath our feet. With the moon hidden behind the thick clouds, we strolled along by only the blurred glow of streetlights, breathing in the quiet. I've skipped ahead a little bit with this new addition, since I'm far from done with all of the dreadnoughs black and silver NMM. Felt like doing something completely different on her for a change.
