RN squadron comprised HMS Achilles (Leander), HMS Brilliant (Type 22); HMS Cardiff (Type 42); HMS Odin (Oberon submarine). The Libyans the Al Fatah (Foxtrot submarine) as well as 4 MIG-23s.
