My reply to NitroPDF and its assertion they have the right to unilaterally invalidate my perpetual license for use of their program. Too long for alt text so I will summarise: they are using the alleged threat of security risks, none of which are identified, as justification to invalidate a fully purchased perpetual license and force users to sign up for a costly yearly subscription. The same critical security threat was cited in the prior year to try to force the change to the subscription model, and since that failed to motivate some users, they are now invalidating the perpetual license to force the switch to the subscription. The irony is pointed out that (1) if the concerns were critical why were they not identified, (2) if the concerns were critical why were we allowed to continue to use the v. 12 program for another year, and (3) if Nitro was so concerned about security why did they allow 77 Millions users' info to be stolen by hackers. I allege the security threats are illusory and the real reason for this unconscionable attempt to force users onto a subscription. I end by asking for a refund.
Continuing the saga of my fight with #NitroPDF.
My erased comment is back & my thread approved. They claim present invalidated license is for online signatures, a gratis feature & I neither asked for or used, but CONFIRMED my PROGRAM license will be invalidated after 30 days.
