A screenshot showing a Kia EV6 with odometer mileage (22,946.1 miles), blacked out VIN number, 90% state of charge gauge, 201.7mi of estimated range, and that doors/hood/trunk are closed and tire PSI is at 32.80. Oh and a blurb that my 12v is allegedly 45% charged and reporting 12.4v.

I've been collaborating with the author of the #Ioniq5 and #EV6 module for the Open Vehicle Monitoring System ( #OVMS ) #opensource project.

We now have odometer miles & VIN being properly reported for US models. Range estimates are off (lower) but I am OK with that.

Now I don't need #Kia Connect!

We are officially in spring according to the range estimate of the Kona. Will be putting it to the test later.

Still irks me that #OVMS can't pickup the odometer of the car. Just over 64k miles / just under 40k on this recall replacement HV battery pack (installed late 2022 around 18,000 miles).

#nerd last day of the year:
* setting up an #iobroker instance just to use a reverse engineered adapter to a protected #bev rest api.
* exposing its realtime data with a rest adapter
* glue coding and patching a #ovms boilerplate code to economically send realtime data to #abrp
