FDA grants breakthrough device designation to ReVision Implant visual cortex prosthesis - Med-Tech Insights Belgian neurotechnology startup ReVision Implant has received Breakthrough Device designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its visual cortical prosthesis, Occular, clearing the way toward first-in-human clinical trials. The Occular system is designed to restore functional vision in people with severe blindness, including patients whose condition cannot be treated with retinal implants or optic nerve therapies.

Two drawings of the same angular bust. Left is in charcoal and is a bit more wobbly but has more of an expressive quality to it. The right is in graphite and is a lot more precise and balanced.

This is about a two months difference! Different classes focused on different techniques, left is charcoal and right is graphite. I’m really happy with the progress I’m making!

Hey #ME/CFS #LongCOVID folks. Anyone have onset/worsening of these #occular symptoms:
Tunnel vision, night blindness, problems adapting to low light, blurry vision/issues with details, bone #spicule like pigment deposits, retinal thinning or degeneration on #OCT, or central vision loss. Pls share :)
