this museum has an old ship cockpit you can get into, with an actual working ancient radar unit. It is very worn down, but I still managed to get it to show some radar data on the old CRT

Found my old Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones. Decided to try them out. Still sounds decent as a regular pair of wireless headphones, but toggling the ANC, all it changes is the sound signature of whatever you're listening to. Ambient sound was barely affected. #OldTech

(pic of detail listing regarding my scanner) So the issue with my scanner isn't about the scanner, it's photoshop not recognizing the 32-bit drivers, it's also probably windows too. Last time windows didn't recognize half of the scan settings, and the scanner is 20+ years old, I didn't get it new, husband rescued it from a previous job - they got new and were throwing all the old out. I just have to scan outside of photoshop. I had an old version of vuescan that I ended up buying because the free version puts a big black diagonal watermark across the scan. It'll be a few years before I have the funds to get a new one, so I paid the fee to unlock it. I'm glad it's not the scanner, because 12x17 flatbed, and I cannot afford to replace it right now, eventually I know I will have to.

Back in 1988-1991, my job was programming pre-Powerpoint speaker support slides for big corporations (Toyota, Taco Bell, Dennys, etc etc). The proprietary hardware/software system was called “TVL” #OldTech #DeadTech — I googled, nothing comes up. I guess that means it didn't exist! 🫠 #80s
