This explains that there was an anti-DEI executive order also sent to Foundations. So they know that Foundation work is important to science and inclusion. Which is exactly why it was attacked. And disappointed by the closure of grants with little notice (Is that legal?).

WTF. Only months ago they were talking about how they could help fill funding gaps affected by the new administration.
As far as I am aware, those on IE2 grants with an extension are not affected, but maybe I just haven't heard the bad news yet? Can anyone confirm?

Though there is some confusion about which parts are rescinded. There is still a freeze? There are still specific emails ordering changes in DEI project activities.
Some hope, but still everything is very unclear. Huge thanks to everyone that is closely monitoring the situation.
