This is an unedited output of the comments on the peer review form and other interactions such as the author response letter, excluding any confidential comments to the editor by a reviewer. Question for #metascience2025: Is there data that shows #OpenPeerReview is quantifiably "better," "faster" and/or pulls in new reviewers to alleviate the strain on the system? @prereview.bsky.social @andre-brasil.bsky.social? Can we show skeptics data that it helps w/ this crisis?
@cos.io also doesn't have a scalable model with #LifeCycleJournal yet. This is a pilot/experiment and it's not clear how to make it sustainable in the long term. #OpenPeerReview like many #openscience practices is EXPENSIVE and this community can't really address this.

@hhmi.org TAP team is spending a LOT of resources to support trainees, specifically checking peer reviews, providing feedback, and encouraging cohort members to support each other. #openpeerreview includes a rubric for report assessment. This is a luxury - how do we make it scale?
