Ops Insang: No abuse of power, investigation still ongoing – Police
KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) insists that there is no issue of abuse of power in Ops Sensang as alleged by several parties recently, including deliberately delaying the process of releasing detainees for more than 24 hours. Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said procedures involving documentation, remand applications and bail arrangements took time due to the large number of arrests and the presence of many lawyers. “When we can’t remand, we can’t just release them like that.
