As I'm boarding a packed bus at Blair, the driver says: "this is a lot of people. Did they skip a bus or two?"

A month ago, I had an issue with this route. OC Transpo fixed it. And then the schedule for my connecting bus was changed.

Staff keep telling me to tap slower.
My personal experience is any slow or fast FIRST tap at a EACH reader with a credit card fails. The second works.
With my debit card, speed matters. Linger your tap

Yes, I did let another rider through. I saw her tap but gate did not open. Her second tap using a different gate said "card already tapped". #OttTransit

3 taps should be enough for my return trip with side errand from Orléans to Rideau Centre.
In fact, 8 taps required. When I tap with my credit card, the first message is always "payment declined". The second tap always opens the gate.

OCTranspo Summer Service Starts June 25th brochures. There are at least three but they must have gotten rain soaked at some point.
As seen on bus 6521 today, October 7. Based on their condition, it was a party summer. #OttTransit

#OttCity has just announced its Directions for its 2026 budget, and among the forecasts are potential cuts AND fare increases for #OttTransit.
Oh, and a huge increase for police spending that’s almost double the tax increase.

1 h 10 min after I left home, I arrive at my destination.
I could’ve gotten here in a cab in 22 min, but…I believe in transit.
So many of us in #Ottawa want #OttTransit to succeed, and continue to undergo indignities, if not flat-out inaccessibility.
And we keep trying.

When I look up the stop, I see the next arrival is in more than 20 min, and 20-min headways down the list.
And FTR this is one of #OttCity’s highest-volume routes, at a stop two blocks away from a large festival (#OttawaPride). #OttTransit
