The Church of England's theme for Advent and Christmas 2024, Follow the Star: Calm and Bright, draws on the world-famous carol, Silent Night: "Silent Night! Holy Night! During Advent in our Benefice we have the opportunity to be Calm 太 and meet together for our Advent Reflection Together. There are two different opportunities daytime and evening... & Every Monday at Christ Church, Lofthouse # 2nd gth 16th and 23rd December - 7pm to 8pm & Thursday 12th and 19th December 2 at Holy Trinity Church, Rothwell - 1.00pm to 2.30pm » Our reflections, thinking together and time of Calm will be based # on a book by Rachel Mann - called Do Not Be Afraid - the joy of waiting in a time of fear. • All are welcome from all our four churches at any of these dates * and times. You can come to just one or all... don't worry if you miss * one. If you want to know more speak to Mark or Mandy. A If you'd like a copy of the book by Rachel which has a reflection for • each day during Advent - then please let Mandy, Lisa or Mark - know. They are £10 each. We can still order one for you whether you come to the sessions or not.
