Das NTSB empfiehlt die Schließung der Hubschrauberroute 4 über den Potomac. Die Route hatte #PAT25 genutzt, als er mit #AA5342 kollidierte. Zwischen Okt 21 und Dez 24 war es zwischen dieser Route und dem Anflug auf Bahn 33 des Ronald Reagan Airport zu über 15000 Abstandsunterschreitungen gekommen.

Neue Erkenntnisse zur Kollision von #PAT25 und #AA5342. Möglicherweise hat die Besatzung des Hubschraubers den entscheidenden Teil des letzten Funkspruchs des Lotsen nicht gehört. Außerdem wird die Kalibrierung des Höhenmessers geprüft.

May I ask why a military aircraft was occupying commercial airspace. That collision should have never happened.
I understand the call sign on the Blackhawk was PAT 25. PAT meaning Priority Air Transit.
