My wife & I enjoyed some nice weather this afternoon at Longview Cattle Farm, before crazy weather rolls in overnight. Beautiful #PastureScenes with our cow Geneva & Nova & others. (Petted Geneva’s many shades of brown “head floof” & also petted Nova as she got a treat with her Mother.)
SAVORING my #farm time last evening—it was just extra good. It was indeed super wet out there after the rains, so I had to avoid getting stuck. Probably hiked a mile or two, couple creek crossings. Ahhhhhhh.

WHERE GENEVA IS SPENDING THE NIGHT—I enjoyed being way back there in the Bottom Land with our Braunvieh cow Geneva & the herd at Longview Cattle Farm. Her calf Nova was playing with others some distance away. Wet out there after last night’s big rain, AND I DIDN’T GET STUCK! #Pasturescenes

It was a beautiful afternoon for #PastureScenes at Longview Cattle Farm. Our Braunvieh cow Geneva’s calf Nova was 2 months old on Saturday, & already starting to eat a little hay & feed. And she’s growing quickly.

Enjoyed this #February afternoon out for #Pasturescenes with our #cow Geneva & calf Nova & the herd. Quite a number of nice #calves out there. Sat in the grass & coaxed up Nova. Watched Warblers in the Sweetgums against a bright blue sky.
After a few days “under the weather”, it did me so much good to get out for #PastureScenes with our cow Geneva & calf Nova. Quiet pastures, Geneva grazing, blue skies, birds passing by. Did I say quiet?
After giving our Braunvieh #cow Geneva her 12 pound treat (and watched her saunter down to relax in the sun) out at Longview Cattle #Farm, I GOT TO drive 6 metal posts in the ground & help string up an electric fence. The pond had a skim of ice over much of it. Nice. #PastureScenes

I got to mountain bike part of Longview Cattle Farm today—through the beautiful #PastureScenes , woods & creek crossings. Had just picked it up after some work at Senoia Bicycle. My bike & I got blissfully muddy. Been too long since I biked out there. 🚴♂️

OUR GRANDDAUGHTER GOT TO PET & give some extra TLC to our Braunvieh #cow Geneva’s girl (heifer) #calf today before it’s even 24 hours old! It’s a sturdy good sized calf, & I found it quite strong even now. Our daughter suggested the name Nova. Fun times. #PastureScenes
After a warm pre-Christmas visit with our dear friends at Longview Cattle Farm, my wife & I enjoyed a late sunset/dusk visit around the barn with our Braunvieh #cow Geneva. She’s up for CALF WATCH—she could have it any time. #PastureScenes
