Many of us have begged for a #UniversalServiceRequirement for all #USA citizens.
#SelectiveService need not be #military. #PublicService like #VISTA, #PeaceCorps, and others would qualify, yet every young person upcoming should give 2 years to their country to make it and the world a better place.
A week after I began my Peace Corps service in Togo, a farmer named Felix knocked on my door and said something I’ve carried with me ever since.
