Planning with purpose
📍Good land use planning is not just about maps and bylaws. It is about clean water 💧, safe housing 🏠, and climate resilience 🌱. That is the work. #PlanningMatters

Planners don't seek independent technical peers reviewed studies to update planning schemes & protect communities to waste public funds & time.

David & Kylea, ensure APH publishes real-time data of planning permits currently valid in Australia versus number of building permits.
There is undue blame on Local Government planning - at a time when there is a glut of ready-to-go residential permits for people to engage builders! #planningmatters

During my PhD, I’ve learned 3 key lessons:
1️⃣ Identify a problem you can solve with available resources.
2️⃣ Define the problem and approach systematically.
3️⃣ Spend 80% of your time planning; execution is just 20%.

If I have 5 days, 3 go to planning!
