An unIDed plant in an Aerogarden pod next to what is actually Sweet basil. i think I got other stuff in the seed envelope.
unIDed plants in an Aerogarden pod. the envelope was marked Sweet Basil buuuuuuut i don't think that's what I have here.
Wondering if I can ask some green thumbs on here this.
I have two Aerogardens and planted "sweet basil" as the envelope clearly stated lol
I see actual Sweet Basil in one pod, but the other plants are definitely NOT Sweet basil o_o
Do I have Serata Basil here?

A small houseplant with long leaves with hounded ends, the leaves spread out from a center point and there are about 7 per group
Anyone know what kind of plant this is? It got mislabeled and mixed in with a shipment of pothos + similar at the store I work at and I’d like to be able to properly label it (or buy it myself if it’s care needs match the rest of my plants) #gardening #houseplant #houseplants #plantid
I'd love some help w #plantid. We found a new #greenhouse w a huge selection of #plants, but names were often missing. I know the 1st one is a #syngonium, but is it a Pink Flecked or Pink Spot? And the #cactus, is it an #echinobivia Rainbow bursts? #succulents #plantsky #arrowheadplant #houseplants
I love hand me down plants... but a little help with plant ID please, if you can... I suspect when the flowers open ID might get easier. Mexico? S. America? S. Africa?

Student randomly gave me a plant! I have no idea what it is as it's just labeled "foliage." Anybody got an ID? And care requirements? Lani Novak ?
My cubicle has no windows, but the office kitchen does, if it needs lots of light. Also wondering if I need to re-pot or... Yeah.

Unknown plant gifted to me labeled as a fuchsia Heart shaped green leaf with scalloped edges and red brown stem in front of white paper
Anyone want to take a crack at a #PlantID ? Given to me labeled fuchsia, bright smelling leaves, reminds me of a hot lips salvia?
Plant hairs are very diverse. Here's a crazy one.

Do you ever go down the rabbit hole with #plantid? Sometimes I’m OBSESSED. AI says misIDed cultivars can be common. @ bigboxes, it's 30–60% of the time. Large wholesalers, 15–30%. But smaller growers, under 10%. #houseplants #plantcare #plantdad #plantlife #plantlover #plantmom #plants #plantsky

While Frost Aster is by far the dominant Symphyotrichum in the city, I very occasionally see another species. I've decided that this one, shot over the last week, is almost certainly Panicled Aster (Symphyotrichum lanceolatum).

The violently pink narrow petals of a Pigface flower with some creamy yellow stamens squeezing through. The flower is a little beat up. In the background the juicy leaves of the plant.
Zooming out, the Carpobrotus flower is seen in a sea of green beefy leaves
Today's big reveal is that the Pigface that never bloomed once in THREE YEARS has popped a flower out. Anyway I'm pretty sure this is pesky Angled Pigface so it may be off for the mulch anyway. Would love an expert to chime in, hello #botanists? #plantID?

A close-up photo of what I think are small mushrooms. They're sort of like chalices, with fuzzy brown "container" and white "filling", which has a bit of brown fuzz on it, too. There are five of them bunched together.
A rather blurry photo of the small mushrooms, probably. Two are probably not mature, all brown fuzz. Two are bigger, with the white middle, and one of those seems to be hollow, with two small white spheres inside (looking like pearls).
Another cluster of the small "mushrooms" in various stages of "maturity". Some are all fuzzy brown, some have the white middle to various extent.
Bluesky, can you help ID these? Found in the forest, no idea if it's mushrooms 🍄 or another living organism 🌱. They were really small (photos taken using macro). I have to know what they are! 😄

Green fern with long vertical stipe. The pinnae are offset and spaced far apart.
What is this fern? The pinnae are distinctly offset and spaced far apart. Possible Southern Lady Fern (Athyrium asplenioides)? Located in waterlogged, stream-adjacent area in central Maryland.

Hey plant people, especially those on west coast of North America - is there a reliable way to distinguish Corylus cornuta ssp californica from C. avellana based on vegetative characters only (ie: without fruit or catkins present)?
It seems both have glandular hairs and roundish leaves. I'm […]
