Some of the language in the #Virigna Bill might be misleading, it says: "(iii) is not designed to be interconnected with the electric grid" but of course every #pluginsolar device is ultimately connected to the wider grid. - I send the legislators sponsoring an email. Maybe they explain.

The utilities want to stop you from using Plug-In solar with fees and red tape. You can help by asking your state rep to pass SB 868. SB 868 would let you use these panels without needing permission from the utility, so long as the panels meet electrical safety standards.

Unlike the EU, #USsolarpermitting is regulated by each state, with multiple layers of requirements/utility controls. #Pluginsolar requires specific permission in each state. Only UT now allows it; CA has introduced similar law.
#Pluginsolar is popular in Europe for houseowners who cannot afford roof solar & especially popular among apartment dwellers who want to use renewable energy to lessen their dependence on fossilfuels. It allow them entry into/support of the #renewableenergyrevolution.
