A table of crop and ornamental plants that are resistant to powdery mildew thanks to a mutation in one or more MLO genes, including barley, tomato, pea, strawberry, pepper, wheat, cucumber, rose, tobacco, melon, grapevine and apple. From 'mlo-Based Resistance: An Apparently Universal “Weapon” to Defeat Powdery Mildew Disease', https://apsjournals.apsnet.org/doi/10.1094/MPMI-12-16-0255-CR
And interestingly, mutation of 𝘮𝘭𝘰 seems to confer durable and broad-spectrum #PowderyMildew resistance to pretty much any plant that carries such a gene. Thus, there are now many powdery mildew-resistant crop varieties out there. 𝘮𝘭𝘰 seems to indeed be a universal plant weapon against this pest.
