A2) For my particular niche, there's a ton of vendor support built in for rolling upgrades, hot patching, live migrations, etc. Nobody really noticed one hardware refresh since no service went down. (shilling badly) @IBM #Power11 and related tech have upped their game. #ciochat

We got some more infos on the #IBM #Power11 in comparison to the Power10 and Power9.

IBM now uses the 16th core. But the chip is blown up to 30 billion transistors compared to 18 billion of the predecessor.

Power11: 45,9 MTr/mm²
Power10: 29,9 MTr/mm²
Power9: 11,5 MTr/mm²

So far, I'm pretty happy with #IBM's #Power11 announcement presentation. It's more balanced than some past generations. It's making Power11 available in more ways on day 1 than usual, and it's leveraging IBM's ecosystem in ways that they haven't before. Looking forward to seeing #Spyre on Power11!
