MISO Provides Insights into Winter Power Resources and Potential Risks
The Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) has concluded a comprehensive evaluation indicating sufficient power resources for the upcoming winter season, but also highlights potential vulnerabilities and challenges that may arise from extreme cold and severe weather conditions. As part of its proactive preparations, MISO will host its annual Winter Readiness Workshop on October 29th, providing insights into transmission and generation projections, as well as weather forecasts for the coming months to help better understand and prepare for the upcoming winter season.
