Jackson Co. man accused of child porn possession had volunteered with kindergarteners: FBI A Jackson County, Michigan, man who volunteered to read to kindergarteners faces federal charges after authorities allegedly found child porn on his computer and multiple USB drives when they raided his home Thursday morning. According to an FBI affidavit, some of the images featured children as young as 2 years old. David Gerald Fournier, 47, of Brooklyn had been visiting websites that advertise child pornography since at least May 2012, the FBI alleges. One of the sites was only accessible via the so-called "dark web," through an anonymous Internet browser. Law enforcement executed a search warrant at his home on Cement City Road around 6 a.m. Thursday, according to a complaint filed later that day in U.S. District Court. While searching Fournier's desktop computer, authorities allegedly found files with images and videos showing minor, prepubescent children engaged in sex acts or showing their genitals, including one of a girl between 2 and 5 years old. Authorities also allegedly found that a USB device was connected to Fournier's computer at 4:15 a.m. that morning, then disconnected at 6:04 a.m., just after law enforcement arrived at his home. Agents located three USB devices in a closet — two in a coat pocket and one found in a boot. They allegedly contained numerous folders that had names indicative of child pornography, including "2yo" (2-year-old) and "7yo" (7-year-old), the FBI alleged. The folders allegedly contained pornographic image files featuring children whose ages approximately matched the respective folder names. During the raid, Fournier's spouse allegedly told law enforcement that Fournier volunteers at a local elementary school to read books to children in kindergarten through second grade. His spouse also said the couple has three grandchildren under the age of 10. Fournier faces charges of receiving and distributing child pornography, as well as possession of child pornography. Federal child porn charges generally are punishable by up to 20 years in prison, per count.
