Plastic and the Doctor look somewhat similar standing next to each other. It makes me think that, after Duke Duralumin died, the Doctor and Nurse would've become adoptive parents to Plastic.

Thinking about how the two romantic leads in #PrincessKnight have dark/black hair, making them stand out from the lighter haired cast and possibly allowing them to seem more familiar to a Japanese audience.
But to me, it makes me headcanon Sapphire and Franz as having mixed heritage-

Would a genderswaped #PrincessKnight even be Princess Knight anymore?
That being said... in my mind Sapphire (and Franz) wouldn't even be any less physically different from how they typically look.
#PrincessKnight Sapphire growing somewhat attached to the flaxen-haired persona, because - not only does she not look like the prince persona everyone has become familiar with, she also she looks more like her mother with long and lighter hair.
From both manga versions of #PrincessKnight, I can safely say that Franz does want to FIGHT EVERYBODY, but the 1963 manga doesn't give him get many chances for that.
This makes his short alliance with Hecate the perfect set up for him to gain the motivation to be a menace.
Imagine... the mischief.
Everything with Venus and Franz at the tail end of #princessknight alone would make for a great horror setup.
And... It's kinda funny that the Goddess of Love makes for a much more scary character than the literal demons of Hell.
Earlier this month, sometime after New Year’s, I received a late Christmas present in the form of this timeless Osamu Tezuka classic, Princess Knight. The classic manga, as collected in an omnibus. I love the art style, don’t you?

I personally prefer Franz's original design, because I find that his overall look contrasts Sapphires, rather than matches like Rock's in the anime.
Sapphire's short hair and original outfits had her in more concealing attire/suits, while Franz had longer hair and gowns that draped.
Princess Knight, Prince Franz and Choppy are looking at the horizon. They need to be prepared.
Princess Knight: "But no one can tell when they'll come back again, so we must get ready now and prepare."
