I am part of a co-op author group and we have a Plot Mom. We outline. I admit, it took me a while to get used to it. I am by nature a "Pantser" - I write and whatever comes out is what I will work with during edits.

These templates often start as a 1 or 2 page view. by the time a book is done, they might be 5 plus. The key is knowing that nothing is written in stone - until the book is published.
