#projectgutenberg read! Appreciated the diversity of the stories. The Parson's Daughter was satisfying - I liked seeing the female lead's POV and Patience's character. Anthony Garstin's Courtship felt promising but unfinished, like a prequel. The others weren't to my taste

Another #projectgutenberg read, also known as Fish Preferred. As always with Wodehouse: greatly absurd, creatively written, with some truly madcap characters - Sue & Galahad were brilliant! I was less keen on the other characters, but on the whole enjoyed this lots

Another free read from #projectgutenberg! This is very, very beautifully written. The plot is meandering and highly metaphorical, which won't be for everyone, but I feel this is a book where the focus should be on the atmosphere it evokes and the gorgeous fantasy setting it describes

Another #projectgutenberg read - I used to own a copy of this, but it was eaten by termites! The writing was beautiful - very #fairytale setting and lyrical prose about nature. The main character was adorable but absolutely unreal in his perfection

Yes indeed- itโs amazing - wonderful books by Austen, Brontรซ, Twain, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and so many, many more - free to all via #ProjectGutenberg. I wish som much this was available when I was younger and had much less disposable income to put toward my book habit.

Tried another book from #projectgutenberg! I was drawn to the colorful cast of characters and the intricate mystery, but sadly was very turned off by the narrator's judginess and the plot execution - felt like there was a lot of foreshadowing with very little payoff.

Another read found on #projectgutenberg. I struggled with the protagonist for the first few chapters; she was so self-pitying! Once she met more colorful individuals though, the story became far more satisfying; I enjoyed watching her character growth.
