Aziel is the stoic older brother of Dara Valdez, and is a great strategist despite his modest views on himself. His powers are an opposite to that of his sister’s— with being able to control and manipulate shadows and darkness itself. If in either a dark enough space or able to provide enough darkness, Aziel’s hat is able to be transformed into a temporary crow companion. The trick to summoning it is to press the yellow button disguised as a print on the hat before throwing it. This “shadow crow,” id then able to act as if an ordinary bird until transformed back into the hat via verbal command or being struck with a harsh enough force. The journal Aziel keeps is a great work-in-progress record of anything important that happens in or is discovered in Linkage. Lastly, Aziel’s natural danmaku powers come in shades of purple, blue, and yellow.

Adding on to that, when thrown by him, Aziel’s top hat is able to transform into a temporary crow companion. His journal is kept inside the pockets in the inner lining of his cloak.
