Bush II helped kill them. His ridiculously unfair No Child Left Behind (NCLB) mandated-testing took precious time away from curriculum options in #PublicEd to prep & going forward.

Ohio's EdChoice voucher program is a scam. It siphons desperately needed funds from public schools & funnels them to unaccountable private schools that can reject students.

Agree. As a retired proud #PublicEd high school teacher, I can tell you some of my colleagues were VERY stressed during shooter drills.
(Also my big macho athletes that all 5'1" of me was expected to protect in those darkened locked classrooms)

But the FED govt dismantling #PublicEd by defunding it unless religion is allowed in schools-from daily prayer thru complete biblical integration into the curriculum is the threat we're facing.
