Aptivi Development Toolkit (ADT) migration for our projects In an earlier announcement, we have announced the existence of the Aptivi Development Toolkit (ADT) toolset that allows you to make your own build system for your projects using Python scripts. Now, we are planning to roll it out to all our projects, starting from this week, with more projects being on the list, and the rollout is expected to be finished within two whole weeks.

All Aptivi projects will use Aptivi Development Toolkit (ADT) instead of the older script-based system!

Aptivi Development Toolkit (ADT) is now official! Our earlier announcement talked about how we've finalized the development of the new toolkit and how it would replace the older script-based toolkit. We have stated that the older script-based toolkit suffered from the following problems: Maintenance burdens: The older toolkit raised maintenance concerns, since we have to make sure that the toolkit's features work properly in both Windows and Unix by maintaining two shell types and keeping them in sync.

I hope #hggit pushes a working version out through pip soon. In the mean time, branch 1.3.x managed not to explode once. Afaict this has been another #python3 migration straggler. FYI, in my ~/.hgrc

hg-git = ~/clones/hg-git/hggit

Making script-based build tools more modern Last year, we have released the tools script on our official GitHub repository to give you a starting point into which will turn to a more modern build tool. This script gave us a very good experience and a hint that build systems aren't limited to commands. Those tools were built to be cross-platform with both Windows, macOS, and Linux.
