In 2016 the @EU_Commission outlined the risks of importing wood pellets from the South East USA. Deforestation and degradation for reduces #biodiversity, yet forest #biomass is considered a #RenewableEnergy under #REDII.

The #EU must remove forest #biomass from the #REDII!
It destroys #forests by subsidising the expansion of biomass burning.
