RHP Keegan Thompson (age 31) signed a split deal ($1.4m in MLB, $350k in AAA) with #Reds in early November, and was claimed by Rockies when they tried to pass him though waivers in late December.
His spring:
10 IP, 18 H, 10 ER, 2 HR, 5 BB, 4 K.
I’m a little skeptical he even makes the Rockies.
RHP Roddery Munoz, age ~26, is in Astros camp as a Rule 5 pick from #Reds:
6.1 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 13 K. He had a 30.8 K% and 12.1 BB% in 57.2 IP in AAA for the Cardinals last year, for some perspective. He’s at 46.5 K% and 3.6 BB% in spring.
