Heard from #RI01 Head Start teachers this week that more students are coming to school hungry & teachers are struggling to make ends meet.
I’m fighting to protect Head Start, restore SNAP, make sure no child goes hungry & ensure our early childhood educators are paid fairly.
This past week, I met with Rhode Islanders across #RI01 who are struggling because Trump and his cronies in Congress are raising costs and spreading cruelty.
Here’s what I heard about the REAL state of our union.

The Mount Hope Bridge is a historic landmark connecting the East Bay and Aquidneck Island in #RI01.
Grateful to work with my Congressional colleagues and state & local partners to secure $17 million to restore the Bridge and keep it safe and open for generations to come.
Hosted half a dozen manufacturers in Pawtucket to talk about how Trump’s chaotic, yo-yo tariffs hurt their ability to grow, invest & hire Rhode Islanders.

Cuts to Medicaid could mean individuals with disabilities lose the tools they need to live fulfilling lives.
In May, I met with #RI01 constituent Pranoy who relies on an assistive communications device funded by Medicaid to talk.
