Sadly, the book app I've relied on the past 5 or so years has to shut down (Italic type). I've shifted to @hardcover.app although having to do a lot of cleanup and not public yet. Anyone else there? #ReadAdv #Publibs ๐ #ewgc

The cover of the book "Can I Steal You for a Second?" by Jodi McAlister. The background is a bright pink with a suggested outline of a spotlight at the top and a camera on the left. A brown-skinned woman stands at the top left and a white-skinned woman stands at the bottom right.
The cover of the book "Here for the Wrong Reasons" by Annabel Paulsen and Lydia Wang. The background is a bright pink and the illustration features two white women holding hands with a white man visible between them in the distance, with his back turned. There are shadowed suggestions of lights and cameras in the spaces around the characters.
The cover of "Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Sophie Gonzales. The art is an illustration of a grand staircase and balconies in blue and pink, with the back of a white man holding a rose at the bottom of the staircase, and two white women above him on either side of the staircase at the first landing.
The cover of the book "Hot Summer" by Elle Everhart. This illustrated cover features a pair of white women floating on a large inflatable cushion in a pool dotted with rose petals. A brown-skinned couple are chatting in the background in the pool. The title is presented as if it were pink neon against a cut-out heart that shows a summery sky and open water. A person holding a boom mic comes in from the top left.

A graphic titled "My Essential Science Fiction" with nine book jackets: An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon, The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis, All Systems Red by Martha Wells, This is How You Lose the Time War by Max Gladstone and Amal El-Mohtar, Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee, A Civil Campaign by Lois McMaster Bujold, Scout's Progress by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, and Rosewater by Tade Thompson
Inspired by the discussion of Science Fiction readers' advisory, I made a list of my top nine books/series I never want to be without. Do I own all of these on paper and/or audio? Yes. I'm not trusting The Cloud with these. #LibrarySky #ReadAdv #LibraryLife

Dana's edit: perfect pairings from Modern daily knitting www.moderndailyknitting.com/community/da... this brings reading suggestions and knitting together, audio books which are a match for specific patterns. I like this idea from @callmedwj.bsky.social #ReadAdv
Book cover is quiet and somber in shades of blue and black with a white border. A drawing of a white farmhouse with a black roof set back amongst fields with the outline of a mountain behind it. Blurb: "As good as Chekhov." - David Mitchell
In honor of the day, Foster by Claire Keegan. Enchanting even as it breaks your heart โ a gem of a novella. #ReadAdv ๐๐๐

It's oddly fortifying to read about the women of Troy, etc. who endured so much tragedy and abuse yet soldiered on. This really is an excellent trilogy, with The Voyage Home focused on Cassandra, Clytemnestra and an enslaved healer, Ritsa. ๐ #ReadAdv
Of course - and no need to attribute. I used another's alt text as a starting point for mine ๐ I feel like this is basic #ReadAdv now & we should all borrow freely just as we do for display ideas etc.!
