Brilliant. Just… Brilliant.
There’s a reason Rob Shearman is my favourite writer ever of Doctor Who, and this is it right here.

A book - Martha Wells - Network Effect (A Murderbot Novel) on a background of the blown up cover art featuring space ships.
Heyyy, I finally finished Murderbot #5! Not sure why I took so long getting into the headspace for this one, it was so much fun!

A picture of the book cover of Muckle Flugga - Michael Pedersen - pink, white and blue swirls with a lighthouse in the middle. The background is a photograph of the island of Muckle Flugga surrounded by ocean.
Today I finished this glorious story - Muckle Flugga by Michael Pedersen. I suspect that it isn't finished with me.
God it was hard to find the words for how this one made me feel. Stunning.

#ReadingDiary and my enjoyment of this book - already pretty high - has just gone up thanks to @chrischibnall.bsky.social’s judicious use of the phrase “Sparrowfarts”
Everything I read in Feb! Full ratings and reviews are / will be up on my #bookstagram #booksky
Stand out reads: the twelve, the lotus shoes, fundamentally, the artist, Victorian psycho, rural hours and on earth we’re briefly gorgeous 🫶

#ReadingDiary & that’s book 3 done: a neat idea that knits a selection of decent short stories together that doesn’t quite manage to be more than the sum of its parts.
Today’s #ReadingDiary is a reminder why Rob Shearman is my favourite of all the writers of TV’s Doctor Who.
#ReadingDiary & Book 2 is done! Not as batshit as Verdigris, but then not as exciting. Still, it’s undeniably a Paul Magrs book, with those little flashes of genius - such as the Argo being the same colour as Bessie - that lift it up. Well written, easy to read: it’s a recommend.
9 days in to my 2025 challenge to read 12 books this year & that’s the first one boxed off! A wildly entertaining, if perhaps frustrating at times book, showcasing Paul Magrs talent, wit, imagination, and above all love for Doctor Who ☺️

ChatGPT: “How can I help you?”
Me: “Write me the most Paul Magrs paragraph you can possibly imagine”
ChatGPT: “No need, he’s already done it…”

#ReadingDiary and I’ve been averaging 2 chapters a day, meaning I’m about 3/4 of the way through. If I keep this pace up I may well be able to squeeze a second book in for January…!!!
#ReadingDiary and Jo Grant has folded Mike Yates up & put him in her handbag.
Best place for him if you ask me.
#ReadingDiary and 2 chapters in, following on from Nest Cottage we have another Doctor with a terrestrial bolt hole - this time a red brick mansion.
Makes me wonder what homes @paulmagrs.bsky.social would give the other Doctors…?
Secondly, I read loads as a nipper but that’s fallen off in recent years. Most on these books are unread & I’ve got dozens more to add now. So the #ReadingDiary will start again, with a target of 12 books in 2025 - one a month, which I’m hoping I can beat.
November was full of amazing BL reads, and I’ve got so much to share!
