Das ist dann auch die Qualifikation für die World Transplant Games, die im August ebenfalls in Dresden stattfinden.
2000 TeilnehmerInnen aus 60 Nationen zeigen, was nach einer Transplantation alles möglich ist.

25th World Transplant Summer Games 2025, Dresden, Germany The 25th World Transplant Summer Games will be held in Dresden, Germany from 17 - 25th August 2025. Bringing together up to 3,000 athletes, supporters, living donors and donor families from around the world, to celebrate the Gift of Life and promote organ donation awareness through sport. Bera Wierhake, the ambassador for the 2025 World Transplant Games found her way into elite sports after a liver transplant. As an athlete, she has won multiple World and European Championships in the 400, 800, 1,500, and 5,000 meters events.
