Satellite image of Antarctica highlighting the coldest recorded temperatures. The map shows the locations of Dome Fuji, Dome Argus, and Vostok research stations, with contour lines indicating elevation. The coldest temperatures recorded were -93.2°C (-135.8°F) on August 10, 2010, and -93.0°C (-135.3°F) on July 31, 2013. These were found near peaks in the interior of Antarctica.
