Sonya had a stronger connection to his mind, while Rodion had always been more connected to her body. It wasn’t freedom—no such thing as freedom in this world—but it was theirs. When she moved her body, for violence or pleasure, it was wholly and totally hers. She wanted Gregor to have that, to feel that. She wanted to do something right.
