3. The mosaic dates to the 4th century CE - the revolutionary period of very dynamic developent of mosaic industry in Syria, which, during Constantinian renaissance were used to convey ideological statements in Pagan/Christian polemics.

1. This rare Roman mosaic has been found in 2022, during civil war, in Rastan near Homs (ancient Emesa) in Syria. The mosaic, measuring 20 x 6m (1,300 square feet ), it displays scenes from the Trojan War, along with unique portrayals of Amazon warriors
