The Round Church in Bowmore. The image shows a view up a road that is glimpsed in the bottom of the frame to a two-storey circular church. Much of the structure is white, though the front entrance, which is facing us, is made of stone and is topped off by a tower and bellcote. The front door is accessed by stone steps. The sky is largely blue.

The Round Church, in a magnificent location at the head of the village of Bowmore's Main Street on the Isle of Islay. It was built in the 1760s with, it is said, no corners for the devil to hide in. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot...
