My current congressman and my current state senator. Climer was the county GOP chair when I was the county Democratic chair.
He holds all the same beliefs as Norman, but is much smarter.
He works in finance and can bring oodles of $ to the #SC05 race.

I think like six states have dual candidacy laws: Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, and Oregon, Arizona, and Georgia.
I’m not sure I would support one. I wouldn’t have wanted, say, Sheheen to give up his SC Sen seat to run.
Climer probably wants Norman in or out of #SC05, so he can plan better.

I have not read or heard anything that would indicate he will *not* also run for #SC05.
If anyone has heard otherwise, LMK.
If he were not announcing so early, I’d say he would likely stay in both races until the primary.
He may offer more clarity on Sunday.
