The policy, signed by Chief Justice John W. Kittredge on March 25, 2025, outlines the proper use of AI-driven technologies—such as ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and legal research tools like Westlaw’s CoCounsel—within the South Carolina Judicial Branch.
