Lesebrillen, Zahnbürsten, Pillendosen, Läusekämme sind ein Teil der "Schätze" die aus dem Raddampfer geborgen wurden, der anno 1856 im Missouri River gesunken ist. 200 Tonnen wertvolle Ladung für die Pioniere und Siedler im Westen gingen mit unter und wurden teils sehr gut im Schlamm konserviert. Mehr als 130 Jahre später wieder aus einer Wiese ausgegraben.

Found at the local "transfer station" free book section. "Hudson-Fulton Celebration 1909" - A book commemorating the extravagant celebration honoring Henry Hudson, 300 years after finding his way to the "Hudson" River and Robert Fulton, 100 years after he launched the first viable steam powered vessel. It contains 514 pages of text plus many photographs and drawings of the many events celebrating the anniversaries. Pleased to say it is in excellent condition.

Ein Raddampfer ist anno 1856 im Missouri River gesunken. 200 Tonnen Ladung für die Pioniere und Siedler im Westen gingen mit unter und wurden teils sehr gut im Schlamm konserviert. Mehr als 130 Jahre später wieder aus einer Wiese ausgegraben und in einem Museum ausgestellt. Im Bild sind z.B. verklumpte Nägel zu sehen, eine Art Hobel oder Meißel und ein Teil eines Nudelholzes.
