According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness: 64 percent of individuals living with mental illness felt their conditions worsened around the holidays.
Five strategies for supporting your mental health during the holiday season. 1. Develop a plan of action for when you are feeling stressed, lonely, or sad. 2. Recognize seasonal changes to your mood or mental health. 3. Connect with your loved ones and community. 4. Avoid the use of drugs and alcohol. 5. Pay attention to your feelings and let loved ones know how to support you.
