Showing again that states bow to #capital, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1907, #Chile's army killed 2000+ striking workers in #SantaMaríaSchoolMassacre. 40,000 #saltpeter miners (#PotassiumNitrate) camped in #Iquique, demanding raises. Companies wouldn't negotiate so troops went in.
