🤔 Are IB state schools' pupil premium funding taking money away from A levels state schools?
There are only @20 state schools offering the #IBDiploma in the UK, so that seems an incoherent costs analysis. And insulting.

Private school students will still be able choose between a full IB or A levels sixth forms, therefore so should state school students.

The IB diploma programme's 6-subject areas provide an interdisciplinary experience, incl. how to write academically & cite sources properly & incl. provision for extracurricular creative pursuits, physical fitness, & volunteering.

This morning I delivered the 'Save Our IB' petition to the Prime Minister, along with MP colleagues and IB school leaders.
The government's decision to cut funding is wrong. The IB is a world-class qualification that everyone should have the opportunity to study.

Yesterday I spoke in Westminster Hall to defend the International Baccalaureate. It transforms lives, boosts social mobility, and broadens opportunity. Cutting it for just 0.04% of the education budget is wrong. I urge the Minister to think again. #SaveTheIB #Torbay #Education
