Not only is it cruel & counterproductive, but we've also seen what happens when we try & eliminate wolves overall, not just in the US.
They're a keystone species for a reason, & removing them from the environment results in a trophic cascade that harms EVERYTHING.

'Wolfwalkers' is Yet Another Movie I Regret not seeing sooner! Yeah, I see why This is as Loved as It is. It's Amazing. Dare I say, at some points, This Movie kind of Reminded Me of 'How to Train Your Dragon'. Different Creatures utilized, Different Story for the most part, and Vastly Different animation, but The Themes feel alike. They both center on Powerful bonds between a Human & an Animalistic Character that challenges the Norms of Their Societies. And I say 'Wolwalkers' accomplished That just as Wonderfully as 'HTTYD' did, because I Loved the Relationship between Robyn and Mebh. Their bond is so Sweet & Powerful that part of Me wanted Them to be in Love. Like, They Deserve Each other, They're so Cute together that Their Friendship feels a lot deeper than It is, (Especially with some of the Romantic Subtext that I found there to be in It) That I wish They could've Walked so Lumity could Run. Love Them. The Animation is Absolutely Remarkable, & Distinctly Beautiful. A Hand Drawn 2D Art Style that still manages to feel Incredibly Cinematic and be worthy of being used for a Feature Length Film. The Main Villain, the Lord Protector, while He does have the Credentials of a One Dimensional Villain, I still think He's a solid Villain since He is Realistic Depiction of an Oppressive Puritan, and can very well be compared to Terrible People in Power in Today's Day & Age/ (I'm sure Who know Who I'm talking about) Plus Simon McBurney does a Great Job voicing Him, so He also has That going for Him.
I'm SO Happy I Finally gave This a Watch after all these Years. This was just as Great as I Hoped. a Beautiful, Stunning, Inspiring, at times even really Intense & kinda Violent, & Really Powerful Tale. And It just makes Me want the Best for Wolves in Real Life more than Ever. #SaveTheWolves
