#Scarletskitchen Today I made Guadeloupean Pain nattΓ©.It's a dense bread baked as a plait eaten at breakfast. I saw a recipe for these last week and since they are one of my favorite breakfast from home, i thought i'd give it a go and they turned out pretty well. #Caribbeanfood

#Scarletskitchen Tonight I made Coucous, a North African meat and vegetable stew served with a side of coucous.
Couscous is made in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia with, depending of the country, variations in the recipe. I went with Lamb and used ras el hanout which is Algerian.

#Scarletskitchen Today is Epiphany and in true FRA tradition,it's Galette des Rois day.Galette des Rois is traditionally an almond cream filled pastry eaten to commemorate the 3 Kings visit. Nw since I'm allergic to almonds, I made mine with cashew cream and it turned out great #Homemade #CookingSky

#Scarletskitchen Since Fall left early and winter is eager to start, tonight, I made rigatoni pasta with ragΓΉ Bolognese (white a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and fresh basil) and some mozzarella garlic bread.

#Scarletskitchen My brain is the most magical place when it comes to cooking and my latest brain child is this: A martiniquan Chocolate flavoured chia pudding!!! I'll concede that it is visually challenging and looks like πŸ’© but Lord does it taste like Heaven! The flavour is like a hug in a bowl 😌

#Scarletskitchen Tonight I made "Beignets de Carnaval" and they came out great 🀩.
In essence, they are puffs made out of fried choux pastry batter flavoured with island spices and flavors that we traditionally make for #MardiGras in #Guadeloupe and #Martinique.#CaribbeanCulture #Caribbeansky

Recipe for the Turkish Pasta 
Toppings: fresh tomatoes, chopped fresh parsley, 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, 1-2 cloves of garlic (minced) couple pinches of salt.
Pasta:
12oz/1lb of pasta cooked according to package directions. 1- 1.5lb of ground beef, 1 chopped onion, 1.5 tsp of sweet ir smokcked paprika, 1tsp of onion powder, 4tbsp of butter.

Set aside the chopped tomatoes and parsley. Stir together the yogurt, garlic and salt. Set aside.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions.
Meanwhile, browned the beef and onions in a large skillet. Season with salt, pepper 3/4tsp paprika and onion powder.
Drain the pasta and in the same pot melt the better over medium heat until golden. Add the remaining paprika and toss the pasta in the butter
To build: place the pasta in a bowl add a layer of beef, then top with garlic yogurt, tomato and parsley.
