“Don’t let this disease start again.”

David survived polio in 1953 at 3 years old.

He spent a month in the hospital and could only see his parents through a screen door. The disease left one of his legs half the size of the other.

Suzanne has a friend who lost the use of one arm after getting polio as a child.

In 1955, Suzanne’s school helped make sure she received the polio vaccine.

Same generation.
Two very different outcomes.

That’s what scientific breakthroughs can do.

The Lick Sleeve era didn’t last long.

Modern veterinary medicine, better wound care, and a lot of scientific research later… he’s fully healed.

Science saves lives. Sometimes they have four legs.

Children are quarantined, hospitals strained & communities terrified — all while Trump fuels the very culture that rejects lifesaving vaccines. His indifference is chilling. A president who cannot be bothered whether children live or die has forfeited any claim to moral authority. #ScienceSaves

Pneumonia vaccine email.

I am a data point confirmed.

Their email "forskning@" means research.

And they thank me for participating.

Happy to get a pneumonia vaccine as a dude on immunosuppressant meds and happy helping science

Got a 3rd vaccine.
Pneumonia.
They don't know for sure, but can last between 1-3 years.
So I guess I am part of a trial.

Kuro was born so early that survival would’ve been impossible a generation ago. Neonatal science is the difference between life and loss.

Got double-vaxxed today.

Why am I so excited for vaccines?

The thought of potential devastating long covid symptoms incl. brain fog are scary.

And while on immunosuppressants in Portugal I got tuberculosis which took my body over two weeks to get through.

Vaccines are incredible

Flu and COVID vaccines simultaneously. Please get vaccinated.

Just think about the decades of research that have gone into these vaccines.

1000s of grad students & postdocs worked diligently for years moving the needle forward, just so we can be protected from invisible pathogens. #ScienceSaves
