Los #scriptoria eran talleres de escritura donde monjes copistas producían manuscritos religiosos y también organizaban y preservaban documentos administrativos y legales. Cluny (Fr.) y Montecasino (It.) son ejemplos destacados por su producción documental en los siglos X-XII.
En la Europa medieval los #scriptoria de monasterios como Cluny o Montecasino fueron clave en la archivística. Copiaban y custodiaban documentos en pergamino, desde bulas papales hasta donaciones. El #scriptorium garantizaba la memoria escrita de la cristiandad.
