(3/3) I also hope the educational aims of #SeaWeek incorporate many Indigenous practices, knowledges, and cosmologies. Ocean stewardship cannot be colonialist. Colonialism is antithetical to the well-being of the ocean and every living being in/near it.

(1/3) Today is day #1 of #SeaWeek. #SeaWeek (March 2 to 10) celebrates the world's oceans. It asserts the importance of oceanscapes to the health of the planet and every living being on it. Nothing many Indigenous ocean stewards weren't already doing and saying.
