Locking room view of Romsey’s Signal Box’s 23-lever frame by Stevens & Sons, with the locking table overhead.
Not quite symmetrical as the frame was extended by a couple of levers at the right hand end.

#SignalboxSunday Whittlesea signalbox is still in operation although the semaphore signals in the area have now been removed. The weekly DC rail Saturday sand train, 6M89 from Middleton Towers, is seen here passing the box in the hands of 60047 'Scafell Pike' back on 6/12/25 #DCR
Romsey signal box and my Lego mini-me of the box in front, 2016.
From a 2016 simple signalling school demonstrator on just one long board, to a full exhibition loop layout which won the ‘Best In Show’ Trophy at 2024 Fareham Railex. The signal box is positioned with the trophy behind, with some of the fleet - DEMU Thumper, Class 33, Plasser crane, with the Romsey sign the trophy. 100% Lego, Absolute Block! Romsey signal box ‘layout’ (just a signalling school demonstrator at this point) on its first display, at Romsey Signal Box museum, Feb 2016. The box and Romsey’s down home signal, built with a lattice post (as was the real thing) is shown in front of a searchlight signal showing a green aspect in the museum
Me standing in the middle of the layout, leaning over the layout and demonstrating how the levers operate the semaphores (mechanical & pneumatic ) and the colour light signals (electrical) to a group of visitors, younger and older. Visitors can operate the levers on this interactive layout. Basingstoke show 2023, one of my favourites Layout exhibition portfolio https://www.flickr.com/gp/owenthesignal/7Wy7Vq4fmC
10 years ago, I built the first version of my Romsey #modelrailway layout. #SignalBoxSunday
From a small ‘signalling school’ demonstrator, now a full exhibition layout, 100% Lego

This is one of those signal boxes you just have to visit, much like the one at I believe Hexham (which I still owe a visit!)
The box at Bamber Bridge, in the cold. I believe the scaffolding is there to stabilise it (I'm sure someone will tell me!)
