2026 is starting strong, I have been able to install python 3.14 with free-threading, numba, sympy, etc and use it with a complicated parallel code and it works (after a lot of compilations) ...

(This was while they were playing hide & go seek, then playing w/ slime, & then eating, all in this room on a moderately hot day. So they saw a good amount of film. If another kid not present wife would have turned it off—or more likely removed kid—almost immediately. Soon they swim. #SmallVictory)

Today's #smallvictory was HUGE! I spent almost two hours on the phone, first navigating a phone tree, then speaking to a series of human operators, and finally was able to fix the problem and save $1000.

I finally started working on the back garden. I filled up two large trash bins with weeds, leaves, and cuttings.
The #smallvictory is a vase of the garden’s the first sweet peas. They were my nana’s favorite flower - my grandpa (Buddy) always planted them so they bloomed for her June birthday.

Two books with my name on the cover. Not books I ordered.
Books I wrote.
I almost told the delivery guy.
Almost said, “These came from my head. My hands. My sleepless nights.”
